I’ve always been the kind of person who struggles to do things I don’t enjoy — even if they are good for me.
Starting something is never the problem.
But staying consistent? That’s where I’ve always stopped.
This time, I didn’t want to start and stop again. I wanted something different. Something sustainable. Something that feels like a way of living, not a checklist I force myself to complete.
So, I gave myself a simple goal —
👉 Show up for 30 days.
Not perfectly. Just consistently.
Now that I’ve completed 7 days, here’s what this journey has really felt like.
Why I Started This 30 Day Challenge
I didn’t want a strict routine that feels heavy.
I wanted:
a lifestyle I enjoy
small habits that feel natural
something I can actually continue
So I created simple rules for myself:
Wake up early
Move my body for 30 minutes
Eat home-cooked meals
Drink 3L water
Journal daily
Read daily
Limit phone usage
Nothing extreme. Just things that help me feel better.
The First 7 Days: What Actually Happened
I’ll be honest —
I’m someone who struggles with accountability.
That’s why I decided to share my journey on Instagram.
And surprisingly… it worked.
Showing up publicly made me show up for myself too.
The Hardest Part — Showing Up When I Don’t Feel Like It
Waking up at 5 AM?
Not easy.
The first 3–4 days, I had to push myself a lot.
My body and mind were not ready for that sudden change.
But something shifted after day 5.
👉 I started waking up naturally.
That was my first small win.
Movement: The Thing I Always Quit
If I look back at all the challenges I stopped…
👉 95% of the time, it was because of exercise.
So this time, I changed my approach.
Instead of forcing workouts I don’t enjoy, I asked myself:
👉 What do I actually like?
And the answer was simple:
Walking
Dancing
I tried the gym for 3 days — didn’t enjoy it.
So I stopped and switched to:
✔ walking in nature (which I loved)
✔ dance workouts (which felt fun)
Now my routine looks like:
3 days walking
3 days dance
Sunday → slow walk + being present + meditation
This one change made everything feel easier.
The Easy Parts (Surprisingly)
Some things didn’t feel like effort at all:
I love cooking → so home-cooked meals were easy
Journaling → already part of my life
Drinking water → manageable
Limiting phone usage → I enjoy being with myself
Reading is something I’m still mindful about.
👉 I realized:
If a book doesn’t make me excited to come back, I won’t stay consistent.
The Biggest Shift In 7 Days
Something changed this week.
These habits don’t feel like tasks anymore.
They are slowly becoming:
👉 a way of life
And that’s exactly what I wanted.
Choosing Rest Without Guilt
Yesterday, I wasn’t feeling well.
Earlier, I would have:
❌ forced myself
❌ felt guilty
❌ lost motivation
But this time, I chose differently.
👉 I gave myself rest.
Because I understood something important:
If I’m too hard on myself,
I will stop again.
And I don’t want that anymore.
So I rested…
And today, I’m back.
What These 7 Days Taught Me
Consistency doesn’t come from pressure
It comes from enjoying the process
You don’t need a perfect routine
You need a sustainable one
Showing up imperfectly is still showing up
Am I Continuing?
Yes.
But not because I “have to finish 30 days.”
I want to continue because:
👉 I’m starting to enjoy this version of my life.
Conclusion
This is just 7 days.
Not a transformation story.
Not a “life changed” moment.
But something has definitely started.
For the first time,
I’m not chasing discipline…
👉 I’m building a life I actually want to show up for.
